Unlocking the potential of dormant urban properties-- in this case, converting a single family detached dwelling with a presumed occupant load of 5, and a disused rear property accessed from a laneway into a 6-unit live/work development with a potential occupant load of 18-- would allow for an almost fourfold increase in residential accommodations.
